Belgian Browning Double Auto chambered in 12 gauge
Belgian made Browning Double Automatic Model 12 gauge shotgun. This Double Automatic is in excellent overall condition and has been lightly used but well cared for over the years. The serial number is “C7922”, which would put this shotgun as being manufactured in 1954; the “C” is Browning’s code for a steel receiver rather than an “A” for lightweight alloy. The original factory gloss blue finish rates a conservative 95% with some very minor handling marks only visible under close inspection. The 30 inch plain barrel is choked “Full” and has a minty, bright bore. It is completely free from pitting, bulges, and dents. The factory original checkered Walnut stock set is also in excellent condition overall. It retains 95%+ of the lacquer and is free from cracks or repairs. The worst bruise on the stock is on the left side just behind the receiver. You can see this in the provided pictures. All of the other handling/storage marks are extremely small and minor and do not detract from this shotgun’s attractive appearance. The original carved horn buttplate with the Browning logo and John Browning bust attached to the buttstock is in beautiful shape. It is free from beetle damage and just has a few small nicks from use. Everything works on this Double Automatic 100% like it did when it left Browning’s factory. The bolt spring is stout and all of the controls work perfectly. It is very apparent that this shotgun was carried in the field very little and fired even less. If you have been looking for a “collector grade” Belgian Browning Double Automatic for your collection, or just a classy automatic shotgun to hunt with, this one would be a great choice for either purpose.
